An Unforgettable Road Trip in Paradise! Exploring the Lofoten Islands in a campervan was hands down one of the best travel experiences of my life. Spending a week driving through this breathtaking archipelago with ultimate freedom was an absolute dream come true.The scenery is completely surreal—majestic mountains plunging straight into crystal-clear turquoise waters, dramatic fjords, and white-sand beaches around every corner. Having a campervan meant I could wake up to these world-class views every single morning and change my itinerary whenever I wanted. The midnight expedition van itself was fantastic: clean, incredibly well-equipped, cozy, and surprisingly easy to drive even on the narrower scenic roads.If you are planning to visit Lofoten, doing it in a campervan is the absolute best way to experience its raw, untouched beauty. Jessica and the Midnight Campers team were fantastic! The van was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed, including dishes, a bathroom, heater, power outlets, a sink, and a stovetop. We truly can’t imagine experiencing Lofoten any other way—having a camper van gave us the freedom to explore at our own pace. A fantastic camper! Not the newest. But a really good one. Good introduction to the car and all the practical tings. A good heater, nice bed, smart with the bed, where you can adjust the size if you want a chair. The water system and gas system also work really well. So sweet to recommend mountains to hike in and places to stay. Can definitely recommend this company! This is not the last time I have traveled in a camper! We had the best experience we could dream for. Jessica is very welcoming and helpful. We have seen some magestic northern lights from the bed in Uttlakleiv beach, what a luxury seriously ! The van is well thought and cosy. I would advise to put on the heater 15min before waking up and taking the breakfast. The kitchen is perfect for eggs, simple pasta and tortillas (I recommand buying small tupperware to avoid bad smell from leftovers). The shower has surprinsingly good pressure. We didn't use the toilets, you ll find WC in most places. We also rented the paddle and had awesome sessions in Haukland and Laukvika (if you are not very familiar with the sea keep in mind that you have to be confortable to avoid waves crashing on rocks) Extra tips that have nothing to do with the van but will make your trip memorable if you are new to Norway's adventures: If you are up for the hikes, bring decent hiking shoes, hiking poles (very handy if you are goofy like me), warm clothes, gloves, a thermos, etc. Keep in mind that the weather can change quickly, we saw so many people ill equipped and getting cold. I recommand to prioritize difficult hikes according to the weather - most of them are very slippery when wet. We woke up at 5am and started our hikes at 7am (last week of september) and therefore avoid the crowds on popular hikes (only 1 guy with us at Reine peak, so worth it).
